The outgoing governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adosa Bello, has handed over the leadership of the state, to the newly inaugurated governor Usman Ododo.
Ododo won the November 11 governorship election in the state, under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, defeating his closest rival from the Social Democratic Party, Muritala Ajaka.
However, Bello whose two-term tenure of 8 years came to an end on Sunday, January 27, 2027, handed over the mantle of leadership in the State, to the new governor, who happened to be his political godson.
Ododo who also took an oath of office on Saturday, administered by the Chief Justices of the State, was sworn in, in a stylish ceremony which took place at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja.
