Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, on Monday, received the minority leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley Chinda, in Bayelsa.
Governor Diri received Chinda, and other members of the national assembly, as well as some Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Diri, on his X handle, said the lawmakers came on a solidarity visit ahead of his re-election in the forthcoming November 11 governorship election in the state.
According to the governor, their visit ahead of the election was reassuring.
“Today, I received in audience, my brother and friend, the Minority Leader of our great party, PDP, in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Kingsley Chinda.
“I felt great to receive Hon. Chinda, and a few other friends from the National Assembly who came on a solidarity visit ahead of my re-election.
“I appreciate you all.
“Also today, I received the South-South Leadership of our party, PDP, led by the National Vice Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih.
“The visit today is so reassuring, thank you all,” he tweeted.
