Representatives of the United Nations and the African Union were present at the second Economic Community of West African States meeting on the military coup in Niger Republic.
The extraordinary meeting was held on Thursday in Abuja, and led by President Bola Tinubu.
Participants deliberated on how to proceed after the military junta in Niger defied the bloc’s seven-day ultimatum on Sunday and failed to relinquish power to ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.
