Reno Omokri, a Media Aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has accused an Arise Television host, Rufai Oseni, of threatening his life, after accusing the television presenter, and his employer of dishing out malicious content to the public place.
Omokri who had earlier challenged Oseni and Arise TV station, to provide a copy of the subpoena, claimed to have been sent to the Chicago State University, by a US Court, seeking to extract the academic record of President Bola Tinubu, who graduated from the University.
The former presidential aid had claimed that Arise TV station, had in its broadcast, hosted by Oseni, on November 22, 2022, claimed that the American University denied having known or having any record, related to the name of now the Nigerian President, who was the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, when the University reviewed a subpoena from a US Court, compelling it to produce the academic record to the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, who approached the Court to give the order to the institution, to use the record at the ongoing 2023 Presidential Election Tribunal case.
However, Omokri through a post on his X handle, alleged that Oseni called his brother, threatening his life on the phone.
“After I Exposed Him As a Liar, Rufai Oseni Called My Brother and Threatened My Life, Because I Insisted Tinubu Attended Chicago State University,” Omokri tweeted.
