The ruling All Progressives Congress has alleged the opposition parties of instigating mass protests in major cities across the country.
The APC made the allegation in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, while reacting to Monday’s mass protests in Niger and Kano states, respectively.
According to the ruling party, the opposition parties in the desperation to discredit the APC-led administration, instigating the unsuspecting youths, to protest in major cities in the country.
Some youths had taken to the streets of Minna in Niger state, and Kano metropolis on Monday, to protest the prevailing economic hardship in the country.
However, APC in its reaction to the protests, maintained that the protests in the two major cities on Monday, were the manifestation of their unpatriotic plot, to discredit the government.
