The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party in Ondo State, Olugbenga Edema, has appointed Israel Oluwatosin Ayeni as his official spokesperson for the campaign organization.
Edema, in a statement from Akure, the state capital, expressed full confidence in Ayeni’s capabilities to strengthen the campaign’s communication strategy as the election approaches.
He stated, “Israel Oluwatosin Ayeni brings a wealth of experience and creativity to our team. His track record in political mobilization and youth leadership is commendable, and I am confident that he will excel in this new role.
“As we approach the November 16 election, it is crucial that we effectively communicate our vision and policies to the people of Ondo State.
“With Ayeni on board, I am certain that we will engage more meaningfully with our electorate and convey our message of progress and development.”
Ayeni had previously been the party’s placeholder for the governorship ticket before Edema emerged as the candidate.
Edema emphasized Ayeni’s extensive experience and active involvement in various political and youth mobilization roles, stating that he is a valuable asset to the NNPP campaign as the state prepares for the polls.
Highlighting the importance of youth engagement in politics, Edema remarked, “Our youth are the backbone of our society, and it is essential that they are actively involved in the political process.
“Ayeni’s appointment underscores our commitment to empowering young leaders and nurturing a new generation of political activists.”
Ayeni’s impressive resume includes his tenure as the General Secretary of the Inter-Party Advisory Council for the Ondo State Chapter, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating activities among all registered political parties in the state.
Additionally, Ayeni has served as the National Chairman of the Committee of Young Aspirant Mobilisation, the State Youth Representative for the Coalition for Nigeria Movement in Ondo State, and the South-West Regional Chairman of the Intellectual Young Leaders Network.
