Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s re-election campaign has received a significant boost after the traditional ruler of Ile-Oluji, Oba Olufaderin Adetimehin, endorsed him as the “divinely chosen” leader of the state.
During Aiyedatiwa’s tour of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area, the monarch expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to lead the state, citing his remarkable achievements across various sectors.
The governor engaged with the community, listening to their concerns and addressing pressing issues such as electricity supply shortages and illegal mining activities, Independent.
The Regent of Oke-Igbo, Princess Olusola Olufunke Babajide, also commended Aiyedatiwa’s leadership style and commitment to development.
The governor assured the community of his administration’s efforts to tackle their challenges within the available resources.
He said: “Your Royal Highness, I deeply appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement. I also thank you for the clear articulation of your community’s needs. Rest assured, every request will be given the attention it deserves.”
Aiyedatiwa’s campaign has gained momentum, with key figures such as former Commissioner for Finance Wale Akinterinwa and APC chieftain Mathew Oyerinmade joining him on the trail. Federal lawmaker Festus Adefiranye, representing Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo/Odigbo, expressed confidence in the governor’s election bid, citing his outstanding performance since assuming office.
The governorship election, scheduled for November 16, will see Aiyedatiwa face off against 16 other candidates. The outcome will determine the next leader of Ondo State.
The governor’s campaign continues to focus on his achievements and plans for the state’s development, with the people of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo pledging their support for his re-election bid.
