The All Progressives Congress has raked in about N720m, for selling expression of interest and nomination forms for 16 of its governorship aspirants in the coming primaries in Ondo State, after close of the sales of forms.
The forms were purchased by the aspirants vying for the party’s ticket ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the State.
According to the Daily Post, 14 male aspirants picked the forms for N50 million each, while two female contenders paid N10 million each for only the expression of interest form due to the party’s consideration for females and persons living with disabilities.
The purchase and collection of the forms began on March 27 and ended on April 3, 2024.
Among the male aspirants of the party that purchased the forms are Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa, Olusoji Ehinlanwo, Jimi Odimayo, Jimoh Ibrahim, and APC National Vice Chairman (South West) Isaacs Kekemeke.
Other are Wale Akinterinwa, Olugbenga Edema, Olusola Oke SAN, Olamide Ohunyeye, Morayo Lebi, Oladiran Iyantan, Prof. Francis Faduyile, Mayowa Akinfolarin, and Ifeoluwa Oyedele.
Similarly, the two female aspirants who expressed interest to contest tye election are Funmilayo Adekojo and Funke Omogoroye.
However, all the aspirants who obtained the forms are to fill out and submit the forms to the Directorate of Organisation on or before Friday, April 5, 2024.
