The Council of Elders, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, on Wednesday, has expressed disappointment over recent attacks on Igbos in Lagos.
The council resolved to express their disappointment to the President, National Assembly and other relevant agencies to communicate their feelings over the attacks on Igbos in Lagos.
This was made known in a communique issued after the Elders in Council Virtual Meeting held in Enugu and signed by the Chairman, Council of Elders, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the Secretary-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okey Emuchay, and others.
It was also resolved that a high-powered Igbo delegates would be sent to Lagos to meet with some Leaders of the state.
The essence of the meeting is to establish a lasting peaceful and cordial relationship between the Igbo and the Yoruba in Lagos.
Daily Post noted that the council is looking forward to harmonizing the Igbos and Yorubas I’m Lagos.
