Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has named Omobayo Godwin as his deputy, moments after Philip Shaibu was impeached by the state House of Assembly.
The inauguration of Omobayo is scheduled to occur on Monday at Benin City’s Edo State Government House. At the inauguration site, friends and well-wishers have already arrived for the swearing-in event.
Omobayo was born on July 19, 1986, in the state’s Akoko Edo Local Government Area.
Prior to his recent assignment, he worked for Dresser Wayne West Africa Limited as a Senior Maintenance Engineer, where he gained experience in the South-South operations, offering excellent services and expanding the company’s clientele.
Additionally, he has been involved in municipal politics.
