Galatasaray forward, Álvaro Morata, has made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, urging him to remain at the club beyond the current transfer window.
Osimhen, a key figure in the Super Eagles squad, has recently been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with several top European sides expressing interest in securing his services.
However, Morata, in a chat with Sports Digitale, expressed his desire to see the prolific striker continue his journey with the Turkish champions.
“If you don’t replace Osimhen, I’ll stay at Galatasaray,” Morata stated.
He went on to heap praise on the Nigerian international, “Osimhen is a great person and one of the best centre forwards in the world.”
The Spanish striker added, “I hope we will all celebrate the championship together. This is an incredible country, my family is very happy here, I want it to continue like this.”
Meanwhile, in related news, Nigerian forward Yusuf has matched Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman as the joint-third highest Nigerian scorer in Europe this season with 18 goals.
