Oladipupo Siwajuola, a student of Babcock University in Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, who was declared missing since April 27, 2025, has been found.
According to The PUNCH, his mother, Fijabi Oyindamola, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Sunday, May 4, expressing gratitude and relief. “My son has been found,” she wrote, accompanying the update with joyful dance emojis.
The university also confirmed the news through its Director of Marketing and Communications, Joshua Suleiman.
In a message to reporters, Suleiman said, “Yes, we are aware,” corroborating Oyindamola’s Facebook announcement.
While details surrounding Oladipupo’s disappearance and the circumstances under which he was found remain unclear, the family has not released further information as of the time of filing this report.
Prior to his return, Oyindamola had made an emotional plea on social media, demanding answers from the institution. “Babcock University, please provide information about my son!” she had posted, questioning why individuals last seen with Oladipupo were allegedly not being interrogated.
“It has been over 72 hours since I last spoke to my son. I personally dropped him off at school on Monday, April 27, and I have been unable to locate him since then,” she wrote in an earlier post. “My son is not a piece of furniture. My family and I should not suffer due to your lack of accountability.”
The incident sparked a wave of concern and conversations online, especially after a video of Oyindamola weeping and appealing for help went viral.
As the family rejoices over Oladipupo’s safe return, the public eagerly awaits clarity on what led to his disappearance. Efforts to reach the university for further details are ongoing.
