The former governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, visited Governor Alex Otti of Abia State on Saturday at the governor’s country home in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.
The visit was to express condolences over the passing of former Governor of Abia State, Ogbonnaya Onu.
Kwankwaso, accompanied by a few close associates, was warmly received by Governor Otti. The visit coincided with a reception held for 15 Abia indigenes who recently graduated from the Nigeria Police Academy, Kano, and were officially commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force.
During the visit, Kwankwaso addressed the new police graduates, advising them to uphold professionalism and to always act with integrity, guided by the fear of God.
Governor Otti also congratulated the police graduates on their accomplishments and urged them to remain exemplary representatives of Abia State and the Nigeria Police Force, stressing the importance of professionalism in their duties.
In response, the leader of the new police officers, ASP Ochiabuto Uche Ejike, expressed gratitude to Governor Otti for the honour and assured that they would serve with dedication, representing both Abia State and the Nigeria Police Force with pride.
As of the time of this report, the Abia State government had not released further details regarding Kwankwaso’s visit.
