A former House of Representatives Member, who represented the Idah Federal Constituency area of Kogi state, Ismail Inah, alongside some other prominent members of the People Democratic Party, has decamped from the party, to join the All Progress, ahead of the November 11 Governorship election in the state.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the former lawmaker was dressed and decorated with the APC’s robes by Mr Bello, as a sign that he had fully pitched his tent with the party.
Speaking during the event, the defecting PDP chieftain popularly known as Soul Lover, attributed his defection to the desire to contribute to the development of Kogi and the country as a whole.
He further explained that the APC-led government under Gov. Yahaya Bello had instituted unity, security, and the overall development of the state, hence his decision to support the party’s governorship candidate, Usman Ododo, for consolidation.

Welcoming the former PDP Chieftain and his supporters into the APC, the Kogi Commissioner for Transportation, Baron Okwoli, commended him and his team for their decision to join the ruling party, while assuring their mutual efforts to ensure victory for the party in the election.

Oyibo stated that the crowd on the occasion was clear evidence that people believed strongly in the APC, despite propaganda from opposition parties.
He however assured the people of Igalamela-Odolu and the entire state, that the governorship candidate, Usman Ododo, when elected as governor of the state, would consolidate the unity, security, and infrastructure development instituted by the outgoing governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Similarly, the APC chairman in the state, Abdullahi Bello, welcomed the former lawmaker and his supporters.
