Mrs. Blessing Adagba, who serves as the Coordinator of Ngbo Central Development Centre in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has finally regained her freedom after being held captive by kidnappers for five days.
The confirmation of her release was made by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ebonyi State Police Command, SP Joshua Ukandu, during a briefing with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abakaliki on Wednesday.
Adagba was abducted on April 3 in the Okposhi Eheku community within the same Local Government area.
Ukandu disclosed that her freedom was secured through the efforts of operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Ebonyi.
“The victim was released Tuesday night. During the tracking of the suspects, after the release of the victim; we were able to arrest one of the syndicates, Chukwuemeka Nwazunku, a male.
“We hope that the arrest of Nwazunku will help our men in fishing out the rest of the gang,” the PPRO said.
