Daniel Bwala, a Media Aide to the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed the need by President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the National Assembly to urgently address the migration of Nigerians abroad.
Bwala who made this call via a post on his X handle on Wednesday, regretted that staff of universities and medical practitioners are migrating abroad in droves, due to poor salaries, unpaid allowances, as well as poor working conditions of the Nigerian workers.
According to the PDP Chieftain, Nigerians who are frustrated by the poor working conditions of the country are leaving their jobs and migrating abroad.
He said: “Frustration and mass resignation hitting public universities due to japa-risation.
“The reasons advanced are “poor and delayed salaries, unpaid allowances, poor infrastructure and lack of respect for the academic community.
“Hospitals are short staffed due to Doctors and nurses’ Japa-relation to UAE, Canada, US and UK. Now University lecturers follow suit.
“It’s been ongoing for ages in the private sector, no one cared, now it is hitting the public sector (critical to national security.
“This must be addressed as a matter of emergency, not urgency @officialABAT @KashimSM @nassnigeria @HouseNGR.”
