Inter Milan secured a place in the Champions League semi-finals after an intense 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarter-final clash at the San Siro on Wednesday, sealing a 4-3 aggregate victory.
Following a cagey first half that ended without goals, Bayern took the lead seven minutes into the second half through Harry Kane, bringing the tie level on aggregate.
However, Inter responded swiftly—just six minutes later, with Lautaro Martinez finding the net to restore their advantage.
The Italian giants appeared to put the tie beyond Bayern’s reach three minutes after that, when Benjamin Pavard headed home from a corner.
But the visitors reignited the contest as Eric Dier struck with 14 minutes left on the clock, setting up a tense finish.
Despite relentless pressure from the Bundesliga side, Inter held firm and progressed to the semi-finals, where they will meet Barcelona. The Serie A leaders remain in contention for a historic treble.
