The All Progressives Congress Ogun State chapter has warned the electorate against buying votes ahead of the State’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
APC revealed this on Sunday in a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye in Abeokuta.
The Punch reported that the statement cautioned citizens to be mindful of deception from people whose source of wealth is not known and trying to lure them into buying votes.
According to the statement, “Beware of people taunting and touting to buy people with money. Our dear Ogun State is not for sale, no matter how they got their wealth or how much they are offering.”
Oladunjoye appreciated the people for voting for APC in the presidential elections.
He added that the party had made great impact in every sector of the economy in Ogun State in the last three years.
The statement further reads, “Our immense gratitude to the people who voted massively for our party; it showed that our people are appreciative of good and exemplary governance by Prince Dapo Abiodun in the last three years and nine months.”
Oladunjoye however pleaded with the people to vote for APC massively in Saturday’s elections.
“The party remarked that the good people of Ogun state should make the next governorship and state House of Assembly elections the icing on the cake, having chosen Asiwaju Bola Ahmed as President-elect, the only way to reap the fruits of our labour and benefits from the Bola Tinubu presidency, is to elect Prince Dapo Abiodun and all our candidates in the Saturday elections,” it stated.
According to the statement, “The APC government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun has provided housing estates for the masses more than all previous governments put together. We have paid and continue to pay the minimum wage for workers and other welfare programmes.”
According to The Punch, it continued by saying that the Ogun International Agro-Cargo Airport is not only enviously admired by other states but also a testament to the fact that no height is insurmountable for an innovative, responsible, and determined administration to reach.
