Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State on Monday sent his condolences message to the family of the late Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba State, Victor Bala Kona.
Governor Kefas in a post through his X handle on Monday, August 28, 2023, described the news of the deceased as shocking.
Premium Politics reported that the late PDP Chieftain, died in Abuja, in the early hours of Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Reports revealed that the former PDP Chairman, who built the party’s leadership structure in the state, died after a brief illness.
Reacting through his X handle on Monday, Governor Kefas, who described the late policeman as an icon, said he will be remembered as someone with great influence, who served God and humanity.
He however prayed that his soul continue to rest in peace while extending condolences to his immediate family, followers, friends and PDP family.
“The news of Hon. Victor Bala Kona’s demise came to me as a rude shock, yesterday – a former PDP Chairman of Taraba State and Political Icon. He will be remembered as someone with great influence, who served God and humanity.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, followers, Friends, the PDP Family and all of us left to mourn him. I am consoled by the fact that we all will leave this Earth one day, and our acts and deeds will stand in place of our being.
“I pray that his soul continues to rest peacefully, with his Maker. Amen,” Kefas tweeted.
