Tragedy struck on the Ikorodu–Sagamu Road in Ogun State over the weekend as four renowned Nigerian gospel ministers lost their lives in a deadly road accident.
The Federal Road Safety Corps in a statement released on Monday by the Ogun State Sector Public Education Officer, Florence Okupe, confirmed the fatal crash and identified the victims as Evangelist Ayodeji David, popularly known as Kekere Jesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina.
The accident, which reportedly involved multiple vehicles, claimed the lives of more than 24 people. According to preliminary findings by the FRSC, the cause of the crash was attributed to excessive speeding and poor visibility on the highway.
The gospel ministers were said to be on their way to a ministry engagement when their vehicle collided with another, resulting in a high-impact crash that killed all four occupants on the spot.
Evangelist Kekere Jesu was widely known for his energetic street evangelism, fervent preaching, and strong social media influence
