The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje on Thursday, received the immediate National Vice Chairman (North West) of the party, Dr. Saliu Lukman, in his office, at the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja.
This disclosure was made by the party leadership via a post on the party’s official X-handle on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
According to the APC, Dr Lukman paid the visit, to congratulate the chairman on his newly appointed position, and also, to present his new book, titled “APC and Transition Politics,” to Dr Ganduje.
It would be recalled that Dr Lukman was very vocal about the leadership of the immediate former Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, to hand over to the caretaker committee before the party’s convention alleging Adamu-led administration of corruption.
However, he tendered his resignation from the party, when the party leadership, including the president and the APC Governors Forum, were allegedly backing Ganduje’s emergence as chairman, after the resignation of Senator Adamu from the position.
Lukman alleged that it was against the sharing formula, noting that justice and equity were not being put into consideration if Ganduje eventually became the chairman of the party.
Disclosing his visit, APC tweeted: “The immediate-past National Vice Chairman (North West), Comrade Salihu Lukman, paid a congratulatory visit to the National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at his office in Abuja.
“Comrade Lukman presented his book “APC and Transition Politics” to Dr. Ganduje.”
