The Federal High Court in Kano State has set September 22 as the date for delivering a judgement on the lawsuit brought by former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The lawsuit seeks to prevent the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission from conducting an investigation.
According to Channels, the anti-graft agency’s counsel, Femi Falana, SAN, argued that the former governor’s immunity expired on May 29 and that no court in the country should grant protection to him, his family, or his cabinet.
In response, Ganduje’s counsel contended that due process was not being followed, so violating his fundamental human rights.
