The defunct G5 governors of the Peoples Democratic Party have reportedly arrived the ancient Mapo hall in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to flag off the re-election campaign of one of their members, the governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde.
Premium Politics had reported that Oyo state Road Transport Management Authority had earlier in the day issued a traffic advisory to the motoring public particularly those intending to ply the Molete-Oja’aba-Beere route between the hours of 8am-4pm on Thursday, owing to a letter it received from the state’s PDP, concerning hosting the five state governors.
The guest members of the G5 include: Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, Samuel Ortom of Benue state and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state.
The G5 were said to have arrived the venue of the campaign flag-off at exactly 1 pm.
Meanwhile, as expected, major roads leading to Mapo hall have been blocked with party loyalists from across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.
