The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the death of four individuals following an attack by suspected cultists at a beer parlour in Makurdi, the state capital.
Speaking with journalists on Monday, the State Police Command’s Spokesperson, SP Sewuese Anene, disclosed that the violent incident occurred on Sunday night at Akpehe, Makurdi, leaving several others injured and hospitalised.
“The suspected cult attack at Akpehe is confirmed and investigation has commenced.
“Four persons were confirmed dead while others are currently receiving treatment in the hospital,“ Anene stated.
She further issued a stern warning to criminals in the state, urging them to shun unlawful activities or risk facing the full consequences of the law.
