Former speaker of the House of Assembly, Ghali Umar Na’abba, is dead, aged 65.
Na’abba died in the early hours of Wednesday at the National Hospital in Abuja after a brief Illness.
Before his demise, he was the second Speaker of the House of Representatives in the current 4th Republic.
Na’abba was elected Member of the House of Representatives in 1999 from Kano State.
He became the Speaker a few months after the inauguration of the House following the resignation of the then Speaker, Salisu Buhari over a certificate forgery scandal.
