The Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal will today, Monday, September 25, deliver judgement in the election petition filed against Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu by his challengers over the outcome of the March 18 governorship poll held in the state.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and Olajide Adediran, are challenging the declaration of Sanwo-Olu by the Independent National Electoral Commission, as winner of the governorship election in Lagos.
The Justice Arum Ashom-led panel had communicated to the parties on Saturday, September 23, that it would deliver judgment in the matter today.
The lawyers in the petitions adopted their final written addresses before the tribunal on August 12.
INEC had declared Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress winner of the March 18 governorship election.
Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, polled 762,134 votes to beat Rhodes-Vivour, who scored 312,329 votes. Jide Adediran (Jandor) of the PDP came a distant third, polling 62,449 votes.
