The marriage of former Manchester United footballer, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and former tennis star Ana Ivanovic is reportedly facing significant challenges.
Ana Ivanovic, who reached the No. 1 spot in women’s tennis in 2008 and clinched the French Open title that same year, tied the knot with Schweinsteiger, a retired German footballer, in 2016.
The couple has since expanded their family, welcoming three sons, adding both joy and responsibility to their lives.
However, after nearly a decade since their picturesque wedding in Venice, their relationship is said to be in crisis.
According to Bild, their marriage has been strained due to prolonged periods of time apart. The couple is reportedly struggling to maintain a strong connection, with rumors suggesting a potential separation could be on the horizon.
Schweinsteiger, who frequently travels for his work, and Ivanovic, who resides with their children in Belgrade, Serbia, find themselves living in different locations for long stretches, sometimes separated by vast distances.
Their journey together began in 2014 when they met in New York, and just months later, Schweinsteiger proposed to Ivanovic in a scenic London park.
Shortly after their wedding in July 2016, Ivanovic retired from professional tennis in December of the same year.
Bild reached out to Schweinsteiger’s management for a statement, but was informed that neither he nor Ivanovic would be commenting on their private lives at this time.
