Everton’s poignant goodbye to Goodison Park continued on Saturday with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
The already-relegated visitors clawed their way back from a two-goal deficit to earn a share of the spoils.
The Toffees seemed to be in control after first-half goals from Beto and Dwight McNeil gave them a comfortable 2-0 lead in what was the penultimate match at their historic home.
Everton are preparing to relocate to a new stadium along the River Mersey next season.
However, Ipswich mounted an impressive comeback, sparked by a spectacular effort from Julio Enciso and capped off by a late header from George Hirst.
Despite creating several chances to kill off the match, Everton were unable to capitalize and had to settle for their 15th draw of the season.
With the result, Everton climbed to 14th in the standings with 39 points from 35 matches, while Ipswich held firm in 18th.
