Rasmus Hojlund struck deep into stoppage time to salvage a point for Manchester United, as they battled back to earn a 1-1 draw against 10-man Bournemouth on Super Sunday.
The Cherries had earlier seized a deserved advantage when Antoine Semenyo rifled home midway through the first half.
However, after Evanilson saw red with 20 minutes left, United turned up the heat and eventually found a breakthrough in the 96th minute, with Hojlund nudging Manuel Ugarte’s effort over the line.
The result leaves Bournemouth 10th, after a third draw in four matches hurt their European ambitions.
Meanwhile, United, who are preparing for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Club on Thursday, edge up to 14th.
Despite the late drama, United’s five-game Premier League winless streak marks their worst run since a similar sequence between April 21 and May 12, 2019.
Bournemouth flew out of the blocks at the Vitality Stadium, pinning United back early on. Their dominance paid off when Semenyo, found by Evanilson’s clever backheel, drilled a shot inside the near post.
“No player in the Premier League has taken more shots than the Ghana international this season,” yet United allowed him to receive the ball unchallenged and fire home expertly.
The visitors struggled to respond initially but rallied towards the end of the first half. Alejandro Garnacho came close to leveling after latching onto Noussair Mazraoui’s crossfield pass, only to be thwarted by Kepa Arrizabalaga’s quick reflexes.
Bournemouth nearly doubled their lead just moments into the second half, with Semenyo curling a fine shot narrowly wide after Justin Kluivert’s neat lay-off.
Shortly afterward, Dango Ouattara’s curling free-kick struck the post, leaving Andre Onana stranded.
The home side’s task was made tougher when Evanilson, slipping while attempting a tackle on Mazraoui, caught the United player on the ankle. After an on-field review at the monitor, referee Peter Bankes brandished a red card.
Sensing an opportunity, United unleashed a wave of attacks. Their 25 shots were the most they had managed in a Premier League fixture this season.
Their persistence finally paid off six minutes into nine minutes of added time. Luke Shaw squared the ball across the box, Ugarte got a touch, and Hojlund, staying just onside, turned it home to break Bournemouth hearts and silence the Vitality.
