Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has called for collaboration with indigenes to accelerate development across the state.
He expressed his readiness to work with well-meaning individuals to achieve the six strategic pillars of his administration’s development agenda.
Speaking at the inauguration of Ido Country Club House phase 1 and launch of phase 2, the governor commended the club’s contributions to the state’s socioeconomic growth.
He noted that their commitment aligns with his government’s human capital development agenda, fostering social integration and inclusion, according to TheNation.
The ICC President, Omololu Olofintuyi, highlighted the organization’s interventions since 1984 and outlined plans for the second phase, including an ICT center, conference center, recreation center, swimming pool, tennis court, and children’s play arena.
He urged the state government to provide adequate security and a conducive atmosphere for developmental projects.
The Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, praised the project, stating it will stimulate socioeconomic growth and development in Ido-Ekiti.
He expressed pride in the club’s successful members, predicting their collaboration will trigger progress and attract beautiful edifices to the town.
“He said, “I am very happy. It is a very laudable project and a serious progress for this town that we have a country club where people can come and relax, play games and interact. It is a serious medal to the progress of this town. I am very proud of the members of this club.
“The members of the club are very successful. Bringing them together will trigger progress. We will soon start seeing beautiful edifices springing up in this town and that is one thing that they will love the town more”.
