The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Felix Morka, has criticized Peter Obi, Labour Party’s presidential candidate, for allegedly refusing to accept unfavorable election results.
In an Arise TV interview, Morka described Obi as a “serial complainer” known for disputing election outcomes.
He hinted that Obi’s stance on elections is well-documented, adding that the views of the former governor of Anambra State on Edo’s election are irrelevant, as he was neither a candidate nor voter.
Morka also accused Obi of denying the 2023 presidential election results.
Regarding the Edo governorship election, Morka assured that Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC candidate, will maintain independence.
He added that the party prioritizes allowing elected governors to govern without interference.
Morka said, “Everyone who bothers with Nigeria’s politics knows that Peter Obi is a serial complainer, he will not accept the result of any election that is not in his favour or in favour of any candidate he supports.
“We don’t reckon with Peter Obi because he wasn’t a candidate in the Edo election and he wasn’t a voter. Whatever he thinks is irrelevant.
“The APC is very intentional about allowing those who emerge as governors to govern.”
This development follows the APC’s victory in Edo, sparking ongoing debate between the APC and Labour Party.
