Voting is yet to commence at the Idrion Vocational Centre in Okaegben, Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State due to the absence of Independent National Electoral Commission officials and election materials.
Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the Edo governorship election, is set to cast his vote at Okaegben Ward One, Polling Unit 3, located within the vocational centre in Edo Central Senatorial District.
A correspondent from the News Agency of Nigeria arrived at the centre at 8:15 AM and noted that eligible voters were gathered in clusters, waiting for INEC officials and materials to arrive.
Meanwhile, security personnel are on-site, awaiting the INEC team, as heavy rain has persisted since it began at 6:30 AM.
