The camp of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last election, Atiku Abubakar, has fired back at the Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, over his statement against the former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye.
A spokesperson of the Atiku presidential campaign team, Daniel Bwala, accused Wike of calling out the wrong crew by throwing tantrums at someone like Dino Melaye, telling him to get prepared for more back lashing, in the next few days.
Recall that Wike had said in a media chat in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, that Dino Melaye can’t be governor of Kogi State, telling him that he could not see over the affairs of a state.
During the media discussion, Wike said the former lawmaker lacked what it takes to govern a state, warning PDP of losing Kogi State if Melaye is given the party’s ticket.
However, in his reaction to Wike’s utterances through tweeter posting, Bwala warned of more outpourings, between Wike and Melaye in the coming days, reminding the governor of stepping on the wrong, toe.
“Gov. Wike has been fighting and insulting people and today he called out the wrong crew, Dino.
“Dino just released a trailer to the main movie and tables are shaking already. The coming days would be El-Classicos.”
Melaye, a former Kogi West Senator, who has been posting his intention to join the Kogi governorship race on social media, officially join the race on March 29, 2023.
The governorship election has been scheduled to host in the state, on November 11, 2023.
