The Social Democratic Party governorship candidate in Delta State, Chief Kenneth Gbagi, has promised to pay every youth in Delta State N30,000 monthly.
Gbagi made the commitment on Saturday while speaking at a rally in the city of Asaba that was attended by pastors from various churches and women’s organizations.
According to The Punch, he remarked that the state’s public schools are currently in a bad situation, which, in his opinion, was extremely pathetic.
In his words, “We will revamp our school system. Having done that, I won’t allow our government officials’ children to go to school abroad. We will develop our hospitals to the extent that nobody will fly abroad for medical treatment outside this state,” he stated.”
Moreover, Gbagi promised to start paying each Delta youth N30,000 per month on June 1, 2023.
He pledged to computerize all of the state’s youths and create a database of them, according to The Punch.
In the same vein, he admonished the youths not to “let anybody deceive you with their vain promises. Gbagi has the solution to the challenges in Delta state.”
He also promised to treat everyone equally with no form of partiality.
He stated, “When I take over and I do what they have done, God will disgrace me. This election is not about me, Kenneth Gbagi. It is about the welfare of the people of Delta state. We must rescue Delta State and make it the envy of others.”
