President Bola Tinubu received a vote of confidence from the Council of State on Tuesday, in the first meeting he has presided over since assuming office.
The Council, comprising former Presidents, past Heads of State, and former Chief Justices of the Federation, condemned the recent #EndBadGovernance protests.
The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, briefed State House Correspondents on the outcome of the meeting, stating that the protests had “sinister motives” and that the sponsors were allegedly targeting a change in government.
The meeting was attended by former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, while Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar joined virtually. However, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo neither attended physically nor joined online.
