Former Vice President of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Abioye, has officially announced the start of Sunday morning services, signaling the launch of a full-fledged church.
The announcement came on Sunday, April 27, following the evening fellowship of his group, where he addressed an eager audience with exciting news.
Looking upbeat, Bishop Abioye shared, “Very important information. From next Sunday by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8 am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name.”
This announcement marked the conclusion of the Sunday evening fellowship, which had been intended to be interdenominational in nature.
Bishop Abioye’s unexpected departure from his former role at Living Faith Church shook many, leaving the public curious about his future direction.
Soon after, he unveiled a new spiritual initiative known as the Hour of Revival.
The first gathering for this revival took place at the Velodrome of the National Stadium in Abuja, drawing a large crowd from various churches.
During the event, Bishop Abioye stressed that the revival platform was a divine assignment, not a personal endeavour.
“This is not my personal project,” he clarified, “but a mission entrusted to me by God.”
He urged attendees to seek personal revival, which he believes would lead to a broader corporate revival.
This call for spiritual awakening has now manifested in the establishment of a new assembly with its own unique structure. It remains to be seen whether the church will retain the name Revival Hour or adopt a new one.
