President Joe Biden is soliciting donations to prevent his predecessor, Donald Trump, from being elected in the November 5 presidential election.
Biden’s campaign donation portal features a photo of Trump with the inscription “Save democracy, stop Trump, donate.”
The website states, “We must stop Donald Trump. Trump and his MAGA extremist allies pose an existential threat to the future of our democracy and our nation.”
This comes after Trump’s conviction on 34 counts of concealing payments and information about an alleged sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. Trump dismissed the conviction as a “rigged trial by a corrupt judge” and claimed the “real verdict” will be on November 5, when the people vote, according to Peoples Gazette.
Despite his conviction, Trump’s campaign raised nearly $35 million in just six hours, showcasing his continued support among his base.
The fundraising appeal by Biden highlights the intense political divide and the high stakes in the upcoming election.
