Vice President Kashim Shettima has paid a condolence visit to the All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, following the loss of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Asiya Gauyama.
Despite recently experiencing a personal bereavement, Shettima demonstrated solidarity with Ganduje, whose mother-in-law passed away on the same day as the Vice President’s mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Albishir.
Hajiya Maryam was the mother of the Vice President’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima, while Hajiya Asiya was the mother of Professor Hafsatu Ganduje, the wife of the APC National Chairman.
The late Hajiya Maryam Albishir was laid to rest in Kano yesterday after a funeral prayer that drew numerous dignitaries, including governors, ministers, and lawmakers from across the country.
The visit was a show of support and unity in a time of grief.
Earlier, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu had sent a delegation to condole with the Vice President’s family.
The delegations and condolences underscore the strength of relationships within the ruling party and the nation’s leadership, according to Daily Post.
