The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Danladi Lami, has congratulated Governor Hyacinth Alia on his victory at the tribunal, which upheld his election as the state governor.
The Deputy Speaker, who represents Ado State Constituency in the assembly, praised the significance of this affirmation, emphasizing that it has reinforced the mandate granted to Governor Alia by the people of Benue State.
Daily Post reported that, Lami, in a statement on Saturday night, stated that Governor Alia’s triumph in the tribunal serves as a testament to the faith and trust bestowed upon him by the populace during the elections.
She said, “The victory resonates with the public’s collective yearning for progress, development, and efficient governance within the state.
“In the spirit of unity and progress, I appeal to the petitioners and all concerned parties to come together and collaborate with Governor Alia’s administration. Let us work collectively towards the betterment of Benue State, transcending any differences for the greater good of our dear state and its wonderful citizens.”
Lami, therefore, implored everyone to prioritize the interests of Benue State, urging citizens to come together in unity to forge a prosperous and harmonious future for the state.
