The All Progressives Grand Alliance has announced the commencement of its membership digitization nationwide.
National Chairman of the party, Sly Ezeokenwa, made the announcement during a press briefing to mark his one year in office.
Ezeokenwa stated that the digitization is part of the party’s efforts to foster ICT skills and innovation among youth and society.
The party has also introduced novel programs such as APGA Foundation, APGA Next Generation, APGA Digital Hub, APGA Manifesto, and APGA Membership Digitization, which will be officially launched on June 1, 2024, according to Nigerian Tribune.
The digitization will offer membership digital cards with various features.
Ezeokenwa highlighted APGA’s efforts as a constructive opposition, advocating for positive changes in security, economy, governance, and electoral reforms. He emphasized the party’s commitment to stronger institutions, anti-corruption measures, and policies empowering marginalized groups.
On local government elections in Anambra, Ezeokenwa stated that APGA believes in the importance of local government structures and is committed to conducting elections.
He questioned the impact of local government systems in states where elections were conducted.
Regarding the Edo State governorship election, Ezeokenwa expressed optimism about APGA’s chances of winning the top seat on September 21, 2024. Other party officials present at the briefing included Deputy National Chairman, North, Alhaji Bello, National Welfare Secretary, Honourable Silas Musa Tanko, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Honourable Amala Azodo.
“This transformation has set a benchmark for other political parties and solidified APGA’s position as a trailblazer in embracing technology for political engagement,” the party chairman said.
