The Coalition of All APC Support Groups held a national convention in Abuja, reaffirming their commitment to democracy and expressing confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The event highlighted the APC government’s successes and addressed concerns raised by party supporters, according to Leadership.
Convener Niyi Adebayo Jr emphasized the need for patience as the government works through governance challenges.
He acknowledged concerns from some support groups feeling overlooked but urged them to remain patient, citing the complexity of governing a populous nation like Nigeria.
Adebayo highlighted several government achievements, including security sector improvements, economic growth, decreased foreign debt, infrastructure development, and student loan programs.
He expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in upcoming local government elections in Rivers, Jigawa, and Kwara states.
“What we aim for today is to celebrate the success of democracy and the achievements of our great party, the APC. We want to send a message to Nigerians that within the APC, democracy is celebrated.
“It’s not easy to govern a populous nation like Nigeria, and we don’t expect President Tinubu to perform miracles overnight,” he said, adding that the administration remains committed to addressing their concerns.
Henry Nnorom, Chairman of the Finance Committee, praised President Tinubu’s leadership and the APC’s efforts to address Nigeria’s challenges.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s youth concerns will be addressed head-on through a promised youth conference.
Director of Admin Hon Asiwaju Sunmonu stressed the importance of support groups beyond elections, urging the public to trust the party’s ongoing programs and policies.
The conference concluded with a strong message of optimism and solidarity among APC support groups, pledging continued support for the government.
The event demonstrated the APC support groups’ unity and commitment to President Tinubu’s administration, setting a positive tone for the party’s future endeavors.
