The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has officially presented a Certificate of Return to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the party’s candidate for the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship Election.
This follows the approval of the report of the APC Anambra State Governorship Primary Election by the party’s leadership. The report, submitted by the Primary Election Committee chaired by the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, affirmed Ukachukwu’s victory in the primary contest.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the committee declared Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu winner of the primary election, having polled a total of 1,455 votes.
“At Wednesday’s NWC meeting, the Party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON, thanked the Governor Bassey Otu-led Primary Election Committee for delivering a fair, credible and transparent election,” the statement read.
The APC chairman, Dr. Ganduje, while presenting the Certificate of Return to Ukachukwu, urged unity among party members ahead of the general election. “Presenting the APC Certificate of Return to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Dr. Ganduje charged all stakeholders, particularly the other aspirants and their supporters to work for the Party’s victory in the November 8, 2025 Anambra state gubernatorial election,” Morka stated.
With the certificate now in hand, Ukachukwu is set to fly the APC flag in the November 8, 2025 election, as the party intensifies preparations to unseat the current administration in Anambra State.
