The All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu said the party is not in a hurry to flag off its campaign.
According to The Punch, Adamu made the call after a marathon meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum, and other governors of the party on Wednesday.
The Deputy Chairman of the APC campaign council while fielding questions after the political roundtable said the party has set up structures to keep things together in case of frictions.
Although the agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, it was reported that the meeting was held to adjust the 422-man campaign committee of its standard bearer, Bola Tinubu.
Adamu who had distanced himself from an allegedly leaked letter signed by him which accused the former Lagos State governor of running a one-man show in his campaign said all things are well with the party.
The PGF Chairman, Atiku Bagudu also present in the 5-hours long meeting said the letter was an unfortunate mistake but the party is internally stable.
Adamu when speaking on the stalled campaign flag-off of the APC said the party is not in a hurry as report has it that Tinubu’s undisclosed location has withheld the party campaign kickoff.
“Don’t be faster than the campaign. No matter how much in a hurry you may be, the fact of the matter is that we as a party will determine when we will do what as long as it is within the framework of INEC guidelines,” Adamu said.
