The All Progressive Congress has launched The Progressive Institute, a think-tank aimed at promoting good governance, progressive ideology, and transparent leadership in Nigeria’s political space.
APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, described TPI as a fulfillment of his promise to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.
The institute, he hinted, will serve as a platform for elected members to engage in policy discussions and enrich the party’s ideology, according to Nigerian Tribune.
Meanwhile, Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Kaduna Dioceses urged President Bola Tinubu and the APC to reduce fuel prices, citing widespread hunger and suffering among Nigerians.
He emphasized the need for urgent action to alleviate the country’s economic hardship.
The launch of TPI and Bishop Kukah’s call for economic relief highlight the APC’s efforts to address Nigeria’s governance and economic challenges.
“I am happy that the political leaders are here and I want to say that Nigerians are hungry. You must fund a way of reducing the prices of fuel to reduce the suffering in the country,” Kukah said
