Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has appointed his daughter, Helen Eno Obareki, as the acting First Lady, following the passing of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno.
The governor’s decision was commended by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who led a delegation of dignitaries to condole with Governor Eno.
The delegation included Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, and wives of state governors and presiding officers of the National Assembly, according to Politics Nigeria.
