Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, the Wife of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi on Sunday, congratulated the immediate former Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje and the former Spokesperson for the Senate, Senator Bashir Ajibola as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, respectively.
Mrs Ajimobi in a statement issued on Sunday, stated that the emergence of the Ganduje and Ajibola signifies a new chapter in the history of the party.
The wife of the late politician stated that the APC is in capable hands as the Chairman and Secretary are party men who would always do the right thing.
“The choice of the duo by the party leadership is the right decision that is capable of taking APC to the next level. They will both complement the leader of the party and President and Commthing-in- Chief, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in our desire to have a nation of our dream,” she said.
Mrs Ajimobi further explained that Ganduje’s political revolution has distinguished him as a leader who has the zeal to develop people and transform lives, as he had done in his stewardship as Kano State governor.
“Also as a detribalized Nigerian, without doubt, he will be fair to all. The party is thus safe in his capable and trustworthy hands,” Mrs Ajimobi added.
Premium Politics reported earlier that the choices of Ganduje and Ajibola as the National Chairman and Secretary of the party were authenticated at the 12th National Executive Council meeting of the party, held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, last week.
