The Action Democratic Party has called on Muslim faithful to continue praying for the country and its leaders, urging for better governance.
The party’s National Chairman, Yabagi Sani, made the appeal in a felicitation message to Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir.
According to Sani, prayer is the key to guiding leaders’ hearts and wills towards righteousness and fulfilling their mandates.
He emphasized the importance of extending acts of charity, love, and sacrifice beyond the celebration, making them a permanent part of our culture, according to Peoples Gazette.
The ADP chairman’s message highlights the significance of spiritual guidance in shaping leadership and promoting the well-being of the nation. By encouraging continuous prayer, the party emphasizes the role of faith in fostering a better future for all.
“I urge us not to limit these acts of charity, love, and sacrifice to the celebration only but to let it be a culture to imbibe now and forever.
“I urge us to pray for a better tomorrow, and may our prayers bring succour and healing to our land.
“Let us continually pray for our leaders and our dear country for peace, love, understanding and prosperity,” he said.
He advised the Muslim faithful to remember the act of sacrifice in all their activities and ensure that they exhibit the same virtue to their fellow humans.
Mr Sani prayed for God’s blessings, peace and prosperity for all the Muslim faithful and citizens and wisdom for the country’s leaders.
