The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has confirmed that the airlifting of intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj exercise will begin on May 14.
This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu Abubakar, in a statement issued by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Yunusa Abdullahi, on Tuesday in Kaduna.
According to Abubakar, a total of 4,060 pilgrims from the state have completed preparations to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage. UMZA Airline has been designated as the official carrier for the airlift operation.
“All pilgrims will be subjected to thorough medical screening at the Hajj Transit Camp in Mando before their departure,” he said. “This includes mandatory pregnancy tests for female pilgrims, in line with international health regulations and the guidelines of the Saudi Arabian authorities.”
He called on the pilgrims to comply strictly with all laid-down rules, particularly those concerning discipline, group conduct, and personal safety during their stay in the Holy Land.
“The Agency is committed to ensuring a seamless, safe, and spiritually rewarding Hajj experience for all participants,” Abubakar added. “We urge members of the public to support our pilgrims with prayers as they embark on this sacred journey.”
The agency expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for their continued cooperation and reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining high standards in Hajj operations.
