The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has elected Enemona Anyebe as its new chairman.
Anyebe emerged victorious with 1,632 votes, defeating Sanni Gambo, David Ogwu, and Anthony Amengo in the election held at Kefas Hall, Lokoja, on Saturday, according to TheNews.
The congress, attended by 2,898 accredited delegates from across the 21 local government areas, saw the election of a new state executive committee.
Senator Istifanus Gyang, chairman of the Kogi State PDP Congress Committee, commended the peaceful conduct of the elections and urged the newly elected executives to work towards uniting the party and achieving victory in future elections.
Anyebe, in his acceptance speech, pledged to lead the party to victory and unite all members of the PDP in Kogi state.
The newly elected executives include Sunday Olufemi Ibrahim as State Secretary, Abdulkadir Ibrahim as Organizing Secretary, and Senibi Segun as Legal Adviser, among others.
The election marks a new chapter in the Kogi State PDP, with the newly elected leadership tasked with revitalizing the party and achieving success in future elections.
Other executives elected are: Sunday Olufemi Ibrahim, State Secretary; Abdulkadir Ibrahim, Organizing Secretary; Senibi Segun, Legal Adviser; Paul Ukwenya, Financial Secretary; Umoru Tijani Aruwa, Publicity Secretary; Audu Siyaka Uhanaye (Hacor), Treasurer; Jude Sulle, Auditor; Mrs Esther Soje, Women Leader; Yunusa Adazaki, Youth Leader; Hon Igagwu Haruna, State Vice Chairman (East); Hon Anthony Akuvada, State Vice Chairman (Central) and Ibrahim Taiwo, State Vice Chairman (West).
Also elected were: Emmanuel Daku, Assistant Financial Secretary; Salawu Fortune Omuya, Assistant Treasurer; Adebisi John, Assistant Youth Leader; Toluhi Michael Segun, Assistant Organizing Secretary; Ajiboye Ola Bolaji, Assistant Publicity Secretary; Olu Olusoji, Assistant State Secretary; Ajibulu Osward Olutimehin, Assistant Auditor; Comfort Omolayo Oloni, Ex-Officio; Isa Husseni, Ex-Officio; Abdulrahaman Fruq Musa, Ex-Officio; Mashud Hasiya, Ex-Officio; Ben Ugbaje Ebi, Ex-Officio; Sule Abdulwahab Garba, Ex-Officio.
