President Bola Tinubu is set to commission Compressed Natural Gas buses produced by Innoson Motors, aimed at easing transportation problems in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Five of the CNG buses are already at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, where the commissioning will take place.
President Tinubu, currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council meeting, is expected to step out to commission the CNG buses shortly.
Recall that the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Motors, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, met with President Tinubu last week at the State House. Speaking to journalists, Chief Chukwuma promised: “Very soon, CNG vehicles will be on the road in many cities of the federation to ease the transport problem in the country.”
The commissioning of the CNG buses is a significant step towards addressing transportation challenges in Abuja, and potentially paving the way for wider adoption of CNG vehicles across the country.
